Ospreys in the Community is the official charity of the Ospreys rugby region, working across Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot and the surrounding valleys. Rugby is our way in; education, health and belonging are what we are really coaching.

Our programmes
Programmes run across Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot in partnership with schools, community clubs and local health boards.
Literacy, numeracy and confidence programmes delivered through rugby in primary and secondary schools across the region.
Sessions run throughout the school year and across holidays, led by qualified community coaches and supported by volunteers from across the Ospreys family. Reach: 74 schools visited each year.
Walking rugby, fitness sessions and mental-health support that keep people of every age moving and connected.

Mixed-ability and wheelchair rugby hubs where everyone gets a game, whatever their starting point.

Holiday camps, club volunteering and matchday programmes that connect the Ospreys family to the towns it comes from.

Governance
An independent board of trustees oversees strategy, safeguarding and finances. Trustees are listed by name on the Charity Commission register; day-to-day delivery sits with a small staff team led by the head of community programmes.
Every coach and volunteer works to our safeguarding policy, holds an enhanced DBS check and completes regular training. Concerns can be raised with the designated safeguarding lead via community@ospreysrugby.com.
Annual accounts are filed with the Charity Commission and our fundraising — including the weekly lottery — follows the Code of Fundraising Practice, with complaints escalatable to the Fundraising Regulator.
