These terms are in two parts: Part A covers your use of this website; Part B contains the terms of the OITC Weekly Lottery. By using the site or entering the lottery you agree to the relevant part.

Part A — Website terms

1. Acceptance and who we are

This website, ospreysinthecommunity.co.uk, is operated by Ospreys in the Community, a registered charity in England and Wales (charity no. 1169850), whose registered office is at Swansea.com Stadium, Landore, Swansea SA1 2FA. You can contact us at community@ospreysrugby.com. By accessing the site you accept these website terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

2. Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms from time to time — for example to reflect changes in law, regulation or how the site works. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and material changes to the lottery terms will be notified to subscribers by email before they take effect. Continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.

3. Permitted use and restrictions

You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not: use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes another person’s rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers or any connected database; scrape, harvest or bulk-download content or personal data; introduce malware or interfere with the site’s operation; or misrepresent an affiliation with the charity.

4. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, logos, marks and page designs — belongs to Ospreys in the Community or its licensors. The Ospreys name and associated marks are used under arrangement with the rugby club. You may print or share pages for personal use; any other reproduction requires our written permission.

5. Accuracy of information

We work to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but figures such as prize amounts, odds, proceeds allocations and impact statistics may change from time to time. The lottery terms and any published draw results take precedence over marketing copy elsewhere on the site.

6. Third-party links

The site links to third-party websites — including support organisations such as GambleAware, GamCare and GAMSTOP — for your convenience. We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites, and linking to them does not imply endorsement of everything they publish.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties and accept no liability for loss or damage arising from use of the site, save that nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights as a consumer, or our obligations under the Gambling Act 2005 in respect of the lottery itself.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute — although if you are a consumer you may also be entitled to bring proceedings where you live.

Part B — Lottery Terms (OITC Weekly Lottery)

These lottery terms apply to every entry to the OITC Weekly Lottery. They are the rules of the lottery; entering constitutes acceptance.

B1. Eligibility

Entry is open only to individuals aged 18 or over who are resident in Great Britain. Age and identity are verified before any prize is paid. Trustees, staff and contractors directly involved in administering the draw — and members of their households — may not enter. We may request proof of age, identity and residence at any time and may withhold prizes until it is provided.

B2. The promoter

The promoting society is Ospreys in the Community, registered charity in England and Wales no. 1169850, of Swansea.com Stadium, Landore, Swansea SA1 2FA. The person designated as responsible for the promotion is Thomas Sloane, Community Manager. Licensing route: small society lottery registration with the City and County of Swansea Council. Registration reference: SL0873. The lottery is promoted in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005 and, where applicable, the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice.

B3. Entries

Each entry costs £1 and consists of 4 numbers from 1 to 39, chosen by you or allocated as a lucky dip. An entry is valid for a given draw only once payment has cleared and a confirmation has been issued. Entries must be received by midnight on Thursday to enter that week’s draw; later entries roll into the following draw. We set a maximum of 10 entries per player per draw as a safer-gambling measure.

B4. Subscriptions

A subscription enters your numbers into every draw automatically, with payment collected weekly or monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time by emailing community@ospreysrugby.com; cancellation takes effect before the next draw provided it is received by the entry cut-off, and you will not be charged again. If a subscription payment fails we will tell you; your entries are suspended from the next draw until payment resumes, and repeated failures cancel the subscription. No further liability arises from a failed payment.

B5. The draw

The draw takes place every Friday at 5:00pm, using an independently verifiable random number generator operated under the supervision of the responsible person named in clause B2. Results are published on the Our Winners page in a privacy-safe format, normally within three working days of the draw.

B6. Prizes

The prize structure is: match 4numbers — £2,500 (odds 1 in 82,251 per entry); match 3 — £25 (1 in 588); match 2 — a free entry into the next draw (1 in 23). The top prize sits within the statutory cap for a small society lottery. Winners are notified directly by email; prizes are paid by bank transfer after age and identity verification. Where a claim is required, the claim window is 90 days from the draw date; prizes unclaimed after that window are retained by the charity as a donation.

B7. Void entries

An entry is void, with the stake returned and no prize payable, if it was made by a person under 18 or otherwise ineligible; if payment failed or was reversed; if it was received after the cut-off and not rolled forward; if it duplicates an entry in error; or if it results from fraud or a technical fault. Our decision on validity, made reasonably, is final subject to clause B11.

B8. Self-exclusion

You may self-exclude from the lottery at any time by contacting community@ospreysrugby.com. During the exclusion period we cancel your entries and subscriptions, refuse new entries and send you no lottery marketing. B9. Where the money goes

From every £1 entry, the allocation is 60p to the charity’s programmes, 25p to the prize fund and 15p to running costs. This always gives the charity at least the statutory minimum of 20% of proceeds — three times over.

B10. Suspension or cancellation of the lottery

We may suspend or cancel a draw or the lottery as a whole where required by law or a regulator, or where a technical failure prevents a fair draw. If a draw is cancelled, affected entries are entered into the next draw or refunded at your choice. If the lottery closes permanently, outstanding subscription balances are refunded.

B11. Complaints and disputes

Complaints go first to the charity: email community@ospreysrugby.com with “Complaint” in the subject line. We acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to resolve them within ten working days. Fundraising complaints can be escalated to the Fundraising Regulator, normally within eight weeks of our final response. If we cannot resolve a draw dispute together, we will agree an independent route with you, such as the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS).

B12. Data protection

Entrants’ personal data — including age-verification data, payment records and self-exclusion records — is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
